MEOVV has finally announced their fandom name months after their debut.
Fans of the rookie K-pop girl group have been waiting for this announcement for over half a year now. Finally, the group’s agency THEBLACKLABEL has made the long-awaited announcement.
On March 24, THE BLACKLABEL shared the MEOVV fandom name on social media channels. MEOVV’s fans will be called PAWMPAWM.
The French word for apple, “POMME,” and the English word for cat’s paw, “PAW,” combined to form “PAWMPAWM (폼폼).”
MEOVV (미야오) is a five-member K-pop girl group formed by THEBLACKLABEL. They officially debuted on September 6, 2024, with their digital single “MEOW”. The group’s name, MEOVV, is an acronym for “My Eyes Open VVide”. The group has five talented multinational members including Ella Gross, Gawon, Sooin, Anna, and Narin.
Shortly after the release of “MEOW”, the group made a quick comeback in November with the single “Toxic”. It is expected that MEOVV will release their first mini-album in the first half of 2025. The upcoming comeback will be their first physical album release.
Besides their musical activities, the group is quite active in the musical world as well. Last month, they were appointed ambassadors for L’Oréal Paris, a renowned hair and beauty brand. The group will feature in many official campaigns in the coming months.
In addition, two members Gawon and Ella recently made their Milan and Paris Fashion Week debut with Prada and Miu Miu. It is a huge accomplishment as they got invited to the prestigious fashion weeks in less than a year since their debut.
Meanwhile, PAWMPAWM (MEOVV fanclub) has a lot to look forward to as the group has begun their journey in the spotlight. They can expect some catchy music with back-to-back comebacks this year.
