MEOVV’s breakout artist, Ella Gross, has been announced as the latest face of Miu Miu.
The South Korean-American singer will now represent the Italian luxury fashion house as a brand ambassador. It is remarkable that she has secured the ambassadorship role just 7 months after her debut with MEOVV.
On Tuesday (April 30), the brand released campaign images along with the announcement, saying, “Miu Miu is pleased to announce Ella, a member of the K-pop group, MEOVV, as Miu Miu’s ambassador.”
In the newly unveiled campaign images, she donned a blue poplin shirt layered under a paisley-print bandana top, paired with a skirt. She completes her casual look with a brown leather backpack, silk knee-high socks, and slides.
Regarding this exciting announcement, the 16-year-old K-pop star shared, “I’ve loved Miu Miu for a long time! Miu Miu always gives bright and fresh energy, just thinking about it always makes my mood happy. I’m honored to be able to join as Miu Miu’s new ambassador.”
Ella made a striking impression at Paris Fashion Week during the Miu Miu 2025 Fall/Winter collection show last March. Her distinctive style grabbed everyone’s attention and fans predicted that she would be the new ambassador for the brand.
Her makeup at Miu Miu FW25 PFW Show became a trend and gained immense popularity among Chinese RedNote users.
Her exciting new gig as a Miu Miu ambassador has gotten mixed reactions online. While her loyal fanbase is over the moon about this fashion milestone, some internet users are side-eyeing the deal. The chatter mostly centers around whether Ella’s agency, THEBLACKLABEL, pulled some strings to make this happen.
“Kpop really proves, you only need connections because you can be a 2 day old group with zero hit songs and you get members having Prada and Miu Miu deals like you can’t even convince anyone it’s about impact,” an online user tweeted.
Previously, another MEOVV member, Gawon, was appointed Prada ambassador earlier this month.
Ella was a child actress and model before debuting as an idol with MEOVV. She modeled for several renowned brands and made her runway debut at 8. She not only walked for New York Fashion Week but also for brands such as Anta Kids and Tokyo Girls.
Meanwhile, MEOVV released a pre-release single “Hands Up” on April 28, with the first album “MY EYES OPEN VVIDE” scheduled for May 12.
