After the ongoing public conflict with HYBE since April, Min Hee Jin has finally stepped down as CEO of ADOR, NewJeans’ label.
On August 27, ADOR announced that following a board meeting, Executive Director Kim Joo Young has been appointed as the new CEO.
Min Hee Jin, the former CEO, will step down from her position but will remain an Executive Director of ADOR and continue to oversee music production for NewJeans.
ADOR’s new CEO, Kim J00 Young, will focus on stabilizing the company and improving its internal organization, using her HR expertise and industry experience.
The sudden leadership shift at ADOR comes roughly four months after tensions arose between its parent company, HYBE, and then-CEO Min Hee Jin in April.
ADOR announced that it would separate its production and management divisions, a structural change that would bring it in line with the company’s other labels.
Previously, ADOR’s CEO handled both roles, but this reorganization will allow for a more focused approach.
Lastly, ADOR pledged to fully support NewJeans’ continued growth and success through this personnel change and restructuring.
