Filming for Moving 2 is set to begin soon, and new cast members may join the follow-up season. Rumors suggest that several original cast members may not return, and new faces, such as Roh Yoon Seo and Yum Jung Ah, could join the series.
The series, based on Kang Full’s popular webtoon, follows children who hide superpowers and their parents, who conceal painful secrets from the past.
Season 1 became Disney+ Korea’s most successful original series and attracted over 4.3 million monthly users. It earned critical acclaim and multiple awards, including Best TV honors at the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards, and several wins at the 3rd Blue Dragon Series Awards. It was also nominated for Best Foreign Language Drama at the U.S. Critics’ Choice Awards.
Disney+ confirmed production of Moving Season 2 in 2024, with filming scheduled for the first half of 2026. Kang Full will return as writer to continue the first season. Director Kim Sung Hoon, known for A Hard Day and Netflix’s Kingdom, is expected to join the team, alongside Season 1 co-directors Park In Je and Park Yoon Seo.

- Lee Jung Ha, who plays Kim Bong Seok, will not return due to his mandatory enlistment in the South Korean Marine Corps. His departure affects the central teenage trio, a core part of the story. Lee is scheduled to be discharged on July 25, 2027, by which time Moving sequel may have already finished airing.
Rumored New Additions
- Rising star Roh Yoon Seo is reportedly in talks for a major role in Moving 2. She debuted in 2021 with tvN’s Our Blues and has since appeared in projects like 20th Century Girl, Crash Course in Romance, and All of Us Are Dead. She is also part of Netflix’s major release this year, The East Palace, opposite Nam Joo Hyuk. Her agency has stated, “Nothing has been decided yet.”
- Veteran actress Yum Jung Ah is also rumored to join the series. Known for her roles in Sky Castle, Mission: Cross, and Love Take Two, she has not previously worked with Kang Full. Her agency similarly said, “Nothing has been decided yet.”

The core teenagers will struggle to live in a world where their abilities can no longer stay hidden. Their parents, former black-ops agents, will be pulled back into danger to protect their families.
The first season helped Disney+ get Korean viewers back, but some later shows got criticism. A strong second season and the success of its 2026 K-drama lineup are important for Disney+ to stay popular in Korea.
