Nam Joo Hyuk and Roh Yoon Seo, together on screen at last!

As reported by SPOTV News, Roh Yoon Seo and Nam Joo Hyuk are in talks to star in a new drama, Donggung (working title).

Agencies of both actors have briefly responded to the rumors of them being cast in the new drama.

Management SOOP has confirmed that Nam Joo Hyuk received an offer to star in the drama, but his decision to accept the offer is still pending.

Likewise, MAA, Roh Yoon Seo’s agency, verified that she is in talks for the lead role in Dongggung but nothing has been finalized yet.

Donggung tells the story of a palace brimming with ghosts, hiding secrets. A ghost slayer and a court lady secretly arrive to investigate and vanquish the mysterious ghosts that haunt its halls.

Choi Jung Gyu, known for popular works including Soundtrack #2, The Devil Judge, Children of Nobody, and Triangle, will be directing the drama.

In the drama, Roh Yoon Seo portrays Saeng Gamg, a court lady who is haughty, vocal, and well-informed beyond her scholar status. She is a character with a secret as exceptional as her peculiar talent to converse with ghosts.

On the other hand, Nam Joo Hyuk is offered the role of Goo Cheon, a ghost slayer. Like the court lady, he also has special powers and can become a ghost himself to kill other ghosts.

On another note, Nam Joo Hyuk is currently serving in the military and is expected to be discharged on September 19. If he accepts the role, it will be his first project after discharge from military service.

Roh Yoon Seo is set to star in The Frog and last appeared in Black Knight in a supporting role.
