NCT DREAM is back with a brand-new English single, Rains in Heaven!
The exciting news is made even sweeter by the return of member Renjun, who’s joining the group after a health break.
NCT DREAM English Single ‘Rains in Heaven’
NCT DREAM’s new song Rains in Heaven is a catchy 80s-style pop track that combines upbeat drums, bass, and emotional synths. The seven members – Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung – sing in perfect harmony, creating a soothing sound.
Mark co-wrote the lyrics, which offer a supportive message to those who are struggling. The song promises to be there for listeners, providing comfort and reassurance.
NCT DREAM will perform their new song ‘Rains in Heaven’ live for the first time during their world tour, THE DREAM SHOW 3, starting August 31st in the US and Europe. They are set to hold concerts in Manila, Philippines on August 10-11.
Renjun’s Participation in the Single and Health Update
Renjun halted activities in April 2023 due to anxiety and poor health and did not join the group for their world tour.
On August 9, SM Entertainment shared an update on his recovery and participation in the group’s schedule, saying, “Renjun, who had paused his activities due to health issues, focused on recovery during his sufficient rest period, and he is now feeling much better. He will be involved in the production of NCT DREAM’s U.S. single ‘Rains in Heaven,’ which is set to be released on August 23, and you will be able to see him in related content.”
However, he will not be joining the group for North American concerts, stating, “However, based on the medical team’s feedback, it’s still too early for him to participate in long-term performance schedules, so Renjun has decided not to take part in the North American shows for ‘THE DREAM SHOW 3: DREAM( )SCAPE.‘”
SM Entertainment further revealed, “Whether he will join the schedule after the U.S. tour will depend on his recovery progress, and we will keep you posted on that later.”
Lastly, NCT DREAM’s highly-anticipated English single, Rains in Heaven, is set to drop on August 23rd at 1 PM (KST) on major music streaming platforms worldwide.
