NCT WISH has achieved a major milestone ahead of the album release today!
Their 2nd mini-album “poppop” has achieved a million-seller status in pre-orders. Remarkably, the group achieved this feat just one year after their debut.
On April 14, SM Entertainment announced that NCT WISH’s new mini-album “poppop” pre-orders surpassed 1.21 million. That’s a significant jump from their first mini-album “Steady,” which had around 800,000 pre-orders when it was released in September 2024. The figures suggest that NCT WISH’s popularity is on the rise.
The group released three albums last year including debut single “WISH”, second single album “Songbird”, and first mini-album “Steady”,
With cumulative sales of nearly 2 million copies, they have already set a high bar as one of the top newcomers last year. With “poppop” already breaking records, it’s looking like they will keep the momentum going. The album is expected to become the group’s first million-seller, but fans will have to wait and see once the sales figures are in.
The title song “poppop” is a dance-pop track with a bouncy melody highlighting the group’s energetic vibe. Lyrically, the song captures the thrill of falling in love and seeing the world in a new light, like everything is coming alive.
Other b-side tracks include
- “Melt in My Pocket”
- “Silly Dance”
- “Design”
- “1000”
- “Still 3PM”
Meanwhile, NCT WISH’s second mini-album “poppop” will be available on various music platforms at 6 PM KST today, April 14.
