After announcing 1st and second lineup of performing artists, SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer has announced its MC lineup.
The lineup of MCs that was recently revealed has sparked a lot of buzz, as it includes some of the most popular K-pop idols of the current time.
As reported by Sports Chosun on June 24, Doyoung of NCT, An Yujin of IVE, and Yeonjun of TXT will take the stage as hosts for the ‘2024 Gayo Daejeon Summer’ music festival. The event is scheduled to take place at the Inspire Arena in Yeongjongdo, Incheon on July 21.
Notably, the trio has previously hosted SBS’s music show Inkigayo, with Doyoung hosting from February 2017 to February 2018, Ahn Yujin from March 2021 to March 2022, and Yeonjun holding the position twice – from April 2022 to April 2023 and again from July 2023 to April 2024.
This shared experience adds an extra layer of interest to their upcoming roles as MCs for the Gayo Daejeon Summer 2024 festival.
This year’s ‘Gayo Daejeon Summer’ is a major event, as it’s the very first summer edition of the annual ‘Gayo Daejeon’ music festival, usually held towards the year’s end.
Doyoung, An Yujin, and Yeonjun have been picked as the first MC for this summer edition.
Currently, (G)I-DLE, Stray Kids, TXT, ENHYPEN, IVE, NMIXX, Lee Young Ji, ZEROBASEONE, and LE SSERAFIM are confirmed to perform at the festival.
