Haerin celebrates her 19th birthday on May 15, and to mark the occasion, she shared a heartfelt message with fans. Born on May 15, 2006, she debuted as a vocalist with NewJeans in July 2022.
Moments ago, an emotional note was shared on the group separate Instagram account, MHDHH Friends. It is a challenging period for NewJeans/NJZ and their fans, Bunnies, right now. The group has put their activities on hold indefinitely due to issues with their agency, ADOR.
To celebrate her birthday, Haerin wrote an emotional letter to fans. In it, she thanked them for their unwavering support and expressed how much their love meant to her.
Hi Bunnies, it’s Haerin. Your letters are seriously insane… I was genuinely so surprised! I know this sounds really raw and unfiltered right now… but it was the only way I could express all the surprise,, affection, and gratitude I felt.

I’m sure you all can relate—sometimes these huge, vague emotions are just so overwhelming that you don’t even know where to start expressing them. That’s exactly how I feel right now, so I just poured it all out without holding back.
Thank you so much. Writing a letter takes a lot of energy, and I really appreciate you taking the time to do that. Thank you for celebrating someone else’s birthday so wholeheartedly, thank you for quietly cheering me on through difficult times for whatever reason—it’s just been one surprise after another. Thank you also for thoughtfully preparing things like the birthday cafe and the billboard. I feel kind of amazed at myself today, too. Thanks to the Bunnies, I think I’ll be able to have a really good day. Once again, truly, thank you!!

NewJeans members unilaterally parted ways with ADOR and HYBE on November 29, 2024, after a months-long feud between HYBE and former CEO Min Hee Jin. The points of contention were Min Hee Jin’s dismissal as CEO and unfair treatment. After their departure, NewJeans made a fresh start as NJZ, however, their new journey was abruptly cut short.
Court granted temporary injunction to ADOR and prevented the group from carrying out any activities without notifying the label. The group suspended activities in late March and they lost the objection to the injunction. Until the verdict on their main lawsuit regarding the exclusive contract’s validity is reached, NewJeans can not perform or engage in activities independently. A second hearing for the main lawsuit is scheduled for June 5.
