NewJeans recently shared details about their Han River View accommodation in an interview with Star News at HYBE in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
Previously, it was revealed that a furniture company was contacted by CEO Min Heejin to style the members’ accommodations. The company used actual pictures of furniture taken by the members themselves, not just reference images. The members and CEO Min spent several days studying and discussing the furniture.
During the interview, members were asked if they became interested in interior design while choosing furniture for the accommodation. To which, Danielle replied, “Personally, I had no idea how to decorate a room. The CEO taught me a lot (about interior design), and when I chose furniture, he also told me the history of it.”
Hanni also expressed her gratitude to CEO Min Heejin for helping them out with the furniture, saying, “The CEO is probably the busiest person in the world, but he took a lot of time with us, brought us furniture, and decorated the accommodation, so it was a precious time and I am thankful that it became a special space.”
According to the furniture company, each member of NewJeans decorated their room with a unique concept.
When asked about his favorite among the members’ rooms, Daniel shared his preference, saying, “Actually, I like Haerin’s room. Sometimes when I open the door and go in, it’s cozy, cute, has character, and is kind of lovely. And what surprised me the first time I saw Haerin’s room was It had a princess-like feel. There were cute dolls and blankets, and it was a room just like Haerin’s.”
Hyein also praised Haerin’s room for having a Nordic Vintage feel.
When asked about cooking in the dorm, Danielle said that they all cook together and bring their own dishes. She tried everyone’s food and thought it was all delicious. They find it fun to cook together whenever they get the chance.
She mentioned that one member specializes in scrambles and fries, while Minji is great at baking. Hyein makes fried rice, and each member has their own cooking strengths.
On another note, NewJeans attended the Billboard Women in Music Awards in LA on March 7.
