NOMAD has disbanded and the five-member K-pop boy group will no longer continue group activities. The announcement was made by their agency, NOMAD Entertainment, on January 12, 2026.

According to the statement, the decision came after long and careful discussions between the company and the NOMAD members. The agency explained

After carefully considering various management-related circumstances and engaging in long and thorough discussions with the members, we have decided to suspend group activities and proceed with individual activities for each member.

Although the group has disbanded, the members will not leave the agency. All five members will remain under NOMAD Entertainment. They will now focus on individual activities and personal careers. The company also shared that it plans to actively support the members, including any possible future collaborations between them.

NOMAD, a backronym for “Need Our Microphone And Dances,” debuted on February 28, 2024, with their debut EP self-titled, NOMAD. The group had five members, including DOY as the leader and producer. The other members were Sangha, ONE, main vocalist RIVR, and maknae Junho.

Before their official debut, NOMAD began pre-debut activities in December 2023. They released tracks like “Lights On” and “Eye 2 Eye.” These songs helped them build early interest among fans. Their debut EP featured double lead singles, “No Pressure” and “California Love.”

In October 2024, the group made their first comeback with the release of a single album Call Me Back. The title track peaked at number 13 on Korean music charts. In February 2025, NOMAD released a digital single titled “Carnival.”

One of the group’s strongest identities was being self-producing. Leader DOY played a major role in writing, composing, and producing their music.

Some members also had experience before debut. Sangha appeared on the survival show Wild Idol. Junho took part in THE ORIGIN – A, B, Or What?. Junho was also a former trainee at SM Entertainment and IST Entertainment.

Concerns about the group’s future began in December 2025. On December 18, the agency announced that NOMAD’s official fan community platform, b.stage, would shut down in January 2026. Many fans saw this as an early sign of disbandment.

While NOMAD’s journey as a group has come to an end, their story is not over. As the members stay under the same agency, fans are hopeful for their individual futures and possible reunions in different forms.
