Park Bo Young is the busiest actress in the Kdrama industry at the moment.
Besides filming back-to-back projects, the 34-year-old actress is considering her next role.
According to an exclusive report by Star News on November 26, Park Bo Young is set to star in the upcoming drama ‘Goldland’.
‘Goldland’ is set in Korea’s first-ever domestic casino, which was built to boost the economy of former mining towns struggling after the coal industry’s decline.
Park Bo Young stars as Kim Hee Joo, a young woman born into poverty, who rises above her difficult circumstances. While working at Goldland, she falls for a man she meets by chance, but their love is put to the test when they become embroiled in a mysterious attempted murder case involving gold bars of unknown origin.
The production is helmed by director Kim Sung-hoon, known for his work on films like ‘My Little Hero’, ‘A Hard Day’, ‘Ransomed’, and the drama ‘Kingdom’. The screenplay is penned by Hwang Jo Yoon, whose credits include ‘All For Love’, ‘Fatal Intuition’, and ‘Rampant’.
Lee Chang and Studio Dragon are set to produce, while discussions are underway to secure an OTT partnership.
In other news, Park Bo Young stars in ‘Light Shop’, a new Disney+ original drama dropping December 4. Additionally, she wrapped filming for “Melo Movie” with Choi Woo Shik last month and is set to begin filming for the drama “Unknown Seoul” with Park Jinyoung.
