Singer Park Bom is stepping away from 2NE1’s group activities, as confirmed by her label, D-Nation Entertainment. On August 6, the label released a statement explaining that Park would not participate in the group’s upcoming schedules due to health concerns.
According to D-Nation, medical professionals recently advised the singer to prioritize rest and emotional stability.
After discussions with Park Bom, the agency agreed to halt her promotions. “We ask for the warm support of fans so that Park Bom can recover,” the statement read.
The company also requested support for the remaining members: “We would also appreciate it if you could send your encouragement to Sandara Park, CL, and Gong Minzy, who will do their best to ensure Park Bom’s absence isn’t felt.”
Park Bom had recently joined 2NE1 for their 15th anniversary tour, where the group reunited on stage and received overwhelming support.
She was also scheduled to participate in this year’s Waterbomb Busan event, but canceled her appearance last month due to health reasons.
Earlier this week, Park Bom surprised fans by performing at halftime during the 2025 Coupang Play Series match between Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United FC, held at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on August 3.
Her live appearance was seen as a sign of recovery, but it was short-lived as her agency ultimately confirmed her break from all official schedules.
Earlier this year, Park Bom sparked dating rumors by posting several photos of herself with actor Lee Min Ho on her personal, secondary, and third-party social media accounts, calling him “my husband.” Although her agency later clarified that she was simply a longtime fan, the posts led to widespread speculation and public backlash.
The situation intensified when Park Bom appeared upset with fans after the agency removed the posts. Around the same time, online communities began circulating rumors about her noticeably changing appearance. Netizens pointed to heavy photo filtering, extreme dieting, and weight fluctuations, which added to growing concerns about her well-being.
Meanwhile, 2NE1 will continue their overseas activities without Park Bom, including scheduled appearances at major events like Waterbomb.
