A spin-off titled Mantis is revving up to hit the streaming platform, starring Park Gyu Young, Im Siwan, and Jo Woo Jin.

On September 2, Netflix confirmed the production of the Kill Boksoon spin-off, Mantis, by sharing a photo of the leading cast.

Mantis is a spin-off action film centered around hitwoman Gil Bok Soon. In Kill Boksoon, characters Cha Min Kyu and Cha Min Hee discuss a legendary killer known as Mantis.

Im Siwan and Park Gyu Young, who are confirmed to star in the Netflix hit, Squid Game season 2, will be impressing the audience with their stunts in the latest Netflix Action thriller.

The filming for the movie was scheduled to begin in August. 

Park Gyu Young is one of the leading Kdrama actresses, who has won over fans with her roles in A Good Day to be a Dog, Celebrity, Sweet Home 2, The Devil Judge, and More.

Im Siwan, a ZE:A member, has built a solid filmography with roles in hit movies and dramas including Boyhood, Run On, Summer Strike, Road to Boston, and more.

Lastly, Jo Woo Jin, who recently impressed with his role in Disney+ The Worst of Evil, is also starring in Mantis. He is known for his works including Allienoid: Part 2, Happiness, Goblin, Mr. Sunshine, and more.

Lee Tae Sung will direct Mantis, with Byun Sung Hyun on board as creator and assistant director.
