Park Gyuri, who suffered an unexpected facial injury ahead of KARA’s comeback, will likely join the group for the upcoming Tokyo concert.

As reported by TenAsia, the 36-year-old K-pop star will resume official activities with the group, beginning with their ‘2024 KARASIA’ concert in Tokyo, Japan, on August 17-18 at the LaLa arena TOKYO-BAY.

An official from Big Boss Entertainment informed the Kmedia outlet that Gyuri is planning to join KARA’s Tokyo concert as long as it doesn’t compromise her health.

She’s currently prioritizing her recovery while preparing for the show. In addition, Park Gyuri will also be making a special appearance as a DJ on SBS PowerFM’s Young Street until August 11.

Last month, Park Gyuri suffered facial injuries, including a fractured cheekbone and orbital fracture, during a personal event. Her agency, Big Boss Entertainment, announced that she would undergo surgery and require 4-5 weeks to recover. As a result, Gyuri canceled her July schedule and has been focusing on her recovery.

On another note, KARA dropped their new single I DO I DO on July 24 and is currently in the midst of promotions. Next, they will take their ‘2024 KARASIA’ tour to Osaka on August 24-25, following their upcoming Tokyo shows.
