On September 30, her agency Billions Entertainment announced, stating, “Park Ji Ah passed away today at 2:50 AM after battling a cerebral stroke.”

The funeral services for the late Park Ji Ah will be held at the Seoul Asan Medical Center Funeral Hall, Room 2, in Songpa-gu, Seoul. The service is scheduled to take place on October 2 at 10:00 AM KST.

Her portrayal of Song Hye Kyo’s mother in 2023 hit drama The Glory left a lasting impression. She masterfully captured the critical issue of domestic violence through her character’s complex, often neglectful relationship with her daughter.

Park Ji Ah had an illustrious acting career, spanning over two decades. She played notable roles in films and dramas including The Coast Guard, Gifted, The Scent of Ghost, Strong Girl Nam-soon, Bloody Heart, and more.
