As per the latest reports, the former Wanna One member is considering an appearance in the new drama, tentatively titled “Kitchen Soldier”.

In response to the rumors his agency YY Entertainment told Newsen on February 5, “He is currently reviewing [the offer] for the new drama ‘Kitchen Soldier’.”

“Kitchen Soldier”, a drama adaptation of a hit web novel and webtoon, tells the rags-to-riches story of Kang Sung Jae. He is a young man from humble beginnings who joins the military and becomes a culinary legend.

Park Ji Hoon is eyed to play the lead role of Kang Sung Jae, a talented and determined soldier who achieves success through his exceptional cooking skills.

“Kitchen Soldier”, an adaptation of Jay Robin’s webtoon, is set to be directed by Jo Nam Hyung. Jo’s notable directing works include “Tale of the Nine Tailed” and “The Superior Day”.

On the other hand, the 25-year-old K-pop star is focusing on his acting career after the disbandment of Wanna One. He rose to fame for his appearances in “Weak Hero Class”, “Remarriage & Desires”, “Love Revolution”, and “Audrey”.

Park Ji Hoon is set to appear in the second season of “Weak Hero Class”, scheduled for release in the second quarter of 2025. In addition, he has also joined the cast lineup of the movie “Man Who Lives With The King” alongside Yu Hae Jin, Yoo Ji Tae, Jeon Mi Do, and more.
