Park returns to the romance genre with Surely Tomorrow after years is all the more reason to add it to the watchlist. He has starred in many Korean classics such as What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim and Fight For My Way. On the other hand, Won Ji An recently rose to global fame with Squid Game and Disney+’s spy thriller Tempest.

Since the drama premiere next month, here is everything fans need to know, including release date, plot, cast lineup, and more.

Surely Tomorrow Release Date

Surely Tomorrow starring Won Ji An and Park Seo Joon is scheduled to premiere on December 6, 2025, and conclude on January 11, 2026. In South Korea, it will air on the JTBC network every Saturday and Sunday at 22:40 (KST).

For international audiences, the drama will be available globally. It has been confirmed that Prime Video will stream this romance K-drama exclusively in over 240 countries and territories. New episodes will be released weekly on the streaming platform and JTBC.

Plot Overview

Surely Tomorrow follows the intricately intertwined lives of Lee Gyeong Do (Park Seo Joon) and Seo Ji Woo (Won Ji An). Their romance begins in their early twenties, but like many first loves, it ends with the two going their separate ways. Fate brings them back together in their late twenties and offers them a second chance at romance, but their second attempt fails, too.

Years later, life orchestrates their most unexpected reunion yet. Lee Gyeong Do is now a journalist for Dongwoon Ilbo, assigned to cover a sensational extramarital affair scandal. To his shock, he discovers that Seo Ji Woo is the wife of the man at the centre of the scandal he is reporting on.

Their third meeting happens suddenly and under difficult circumstances. This forces them to face their past and the feelings they still have for each other.

Surely Tomorrow Trailer

The first teaser poster, which features a tender scene of Park Seo Joon carrying Won Ji An on his back, has been well-received by fans. So far, JTBC and Prime Video have released multiple Surely Tomorrow teasers, which hint at the deep bond between the leads.

These teasers show Park and Won’s characters meeting at different phases of their lives, getting back together, and then breaking up. When Ji Woo asks Gyeong Do what his goal in life is, he answers, “When I see you, I just want to feel glad.”
