Plot Overview
The film follows three young adults who work in and around the same department store. Each one of them quietly deals with emotional pain and unspoken loneliness.
Go Ah Sung stars as Mi Jeong, a shy sales assistant who avoids attention and judgment by keeping her world deliberately small. She moves through life carefully, protecting herself from being seen too closely by others.
Moon Sang Min plays Gyeong Rok, a part-time worker who has pushed his own dreams aside in order to handle the practical realities of adulthood. He is attracted to Mi Jeong when she first encounters her in the department store’s underground parking lot.
Byun Yo Han appears as Yo Han, a parking attendant with a relaxed and free-spirited outlook on life. Unlike Mi Jeong, Yo Han is open and expressive and hides pain behind his easy smile. He shares what he knows about Mi Jeong and subtly encourages Gyeong Rok to follow his feelings.
The Cast Behind the Characters
- Go Ah Sung, who plays Mi Jeong, is known for her carefully chosen roles. She said that playing this character required her to explore her own insecurities. Audiences may recognize her from Lee Jong Pil’s earlier film Samjin Company English Class, as well as Because I Hate Korea and The Beauty Inside. She also made a guest appearance in the Netflix series Doona! and SBS’s Good Partner.
- For Moon Sang Min, Pavane marks his first feature film role. He became widely known for his performance as Grand Prince Sung Nam in Netflix’s historical drama Under the Queen’s Umbrella. His recent hit projects were To My Beloved Thief and Cinderella at 2AM.
- Byun Yo Han takes on the role of Yo Han, a character who appears carefree but carries many emotional layers. The 39-year-old actor is best known for his role in Mr. Sunshine and has also starred in films such as Hansan: Rising Dragon, Following, and The Book of Fish. He is also part of the hit movie franchise, Tazza 4, scheduled for this year.
