With this, they broke NewJeans’ record and achieved over 1 billion cumulative streams in just 494 days.

They have made history by achieving the fastest record ever on Melon, a popular Korean music platform. According to Melon, PLAVE’s total streams surpassed 1.0362 billion on July 17 earning its entry into the prestigious ‘Melon Hall of Fame’ or Billions Club.

PLAVE, who made their debut on March 12, 2023, has achieved the Billions Club status in a record-breaking 494 days, surpassing the previous record of 498 days.

PLAVE made waves with the mini-album ASTERUM 134-1 Melon’s Million Albums chart. Its title track WAY 4 LUV becomes the most-streamed song of 2024 with 132.42 million streams, according to Melon’s mid-year report.

Melon’s Hall of Fame recognizes outstanding albums and artists based on their streaming performance. It has two levels:

  • Millions Albums: Albums with over 1 million streams
  • Billions Club: Artists with over 1 billion streams

PLAVE (Bamby, Hamin, Noah, Eunho, Yejun), debuted with the first single, ASTERUM, in March 2023. The group released a second EP, ASTERUM: The Shape of Things to Come in August 2023.

However, it’s their latest album, ASTERUM 134-1 dropped in February 2024, that exploded their popularity and shattered multiple records.

Lastly, PLAVE is gearing up to expand their activities to Japan and has recently signed with HYBE Japan.
