PURPLE KISS has begun the countdown to their disbandment with the announcement of an all-English album. Their four-year journey will come to an end in November, before that, they will make their final comeback and hold a US tour.
On August 14 at midnight, RBW Entertainment released the first teaser for their English-language album, OUR NOW, on all social media channels. PURPLE KISS will drop their first and final full-length English-language album, OUR NOW, on August 31, 2025.
The six-member group will conclude their short journey and bid farewell to fans, PLORY, with the final release, OUR NOW.
Following the album release, PURPLE KISS is embarking on their final world tour, titled A Violet to Remember. The tour kicks off September 13 in Kawasaki, Greater Tokyo. The tour’s title nods to their debut EP Into Violet, symbolizing a full-circle farewell to fans.
This global farewell includes promotions in Japan, a U.S. tour, and concludes with a final concert in South Korea this fall.
Since their debut in March 2021 under RBW Entertainment with their EP Into Violet, PURPLE KISS has distinguished themselves as a self-producing group, with members contributing to songwriting, composition, and production. They followed up with releases such as Hide & Seek, MemeM, Geekyland, Cabin Fever, BXX, Headway, and their recent single album I Miss My…, released in July.
On August 4, RBW announced PURPLE KISS’s disbandment and emphasized that the decision was made after extensive discussions and mutual agreement to support each member’s individual goals.
The label reassured fans that all planned promotions, tours, and album releases would proceed as a final tribute to the group’s journey and to honor PLORY’s unwavering support.
In a wider context, industry analysts point to growing financial pressures in the K-pop industry. Rising production costs, an increasingly crowded market, and shifting fan preferences have made it harder for mid-tier groups to sustain long-term activities. PURPLE KISS is among several artists affected by these challenges.
Meanwhile, PURPLE KISS will make their final comeback with OUR NOW on August 31 before embarking on a US tour.
