Irene from Red Velvet has decided to continue her journey with SM Entertainment by renewing her contract.
On February 7, SM Entertainment shared the exciting news of Irene’s contract renewal. The agency stated, “We renewed our contract based on deep trust. We plan to provide full support for various activities in the future.”
Following Seulgi’s announcement to continue her partnership with the company, Irene becomes the second Red Velvet member to renew her contract with SM Entertainment. A representative for Seulgi expressed their commitment to supporting her in her future endeavors, ensuring she can be even more active.
Regarding contract renewal, Irene shared, “I have trusted the staff and the company that I have worked with since my debut,” and went on to say, “I am grateful to the fans who always support Red Velvet. I will show a good performance this year as well.”
Red Velvet is gearing up to celebrate their 10th anniversary this year. Back in August 2014, they made their debut in the music industry with their catchy track Happiness. Since then, they’ve blessed us with hit songs like Red Flavor, Peekaboo, Psycho, and Feel My Rhythm.
Last year, Red Velvet delighted their fans with their 3rd regular album, which included the hit track Chill Kill. The song topped music broadcasts and various music charts, gaining global popularity. It even reached number one on the iTunes Top Album Chart in 35 regions worldwide!
In other exciting news, Red Velvet is scheduled to visit Japan on February 21-22. They will be performing at the SM Town Live 2024 SMC U Palace @Tokyo event, held at the prestigious Tokyo Dome.
