Red Velvet’s Yeri is about to make her mark on the big screen!
The 25-year-old K-pop idol has been cast in the lead role in the teen horror film Next.
The upcoming high-teen horror movie Next is about a class president and her friends who perform rituals to summon ghosts.
Yeri is set to star in the horror movie Next as Ja Young, a compassionate class president. When her older sister (Park Seo Yeon) goes missing, Ja Young takes the lead in performing a séance to summon ghosts, hoping to find her.
Lee Chan Hyung plays Seo Donghyun in Next, bringing a mix of strength and sensitivity to the role. His character’s pure and heartfelt love for Ja Young will be a standout aspect of the film.
The cast of Next is rounded out by talented actors, including Seo Dong-hyun as Kiho, who previously starred in the high-teen death game thriller Night Has Come.
Oh So Hyun takes on the role of Yeeun, a complex character at the center of a strained and delicate relationship between Jayoung (Yeri) and Dongjun (Lee Chan Hyung). Meanwhile, new actor Kim Eun Bi makes her debut as a model student Miyeon.
Besides being a member of Red Velvet, Yeri has starred in many dramas including Bitch x Rich (Seasons 1 & 2), Blue Birthday, and more.
On another note, Red Velvet celebrated their 10th debut anniversary in August and is currently working on a comeback album.
