Jung Jun Won, who recently starred in the popular medical drama Resident Playbook, has officially addressed recent dating rumors with model and actress Kang Seung Hyun (Kang Hyo Ni).
Through his agency, the 37-year-old star firmly denied the speculation, stating there is “no truth” to the relationship claims.
On May 27, his team confirmed to JTBC Entertainment, stating,
Jung Jun Won and Kang Seung Hyun are just friends who became close while working together on the movie ‘Believer’.
Kang Seung Hyun’s side similarly denied the dating reports, confirming the two have never been in a relationship. They stated,
Kang Seung Hyun and Jung Jun Won are long-time friends.
The rumors began circulating after fans noticed the two celebrities following each other on Instagram. Some online communities even claimed to have spotted them wearing matching accessories in their Instagram posts. As per these posts, the two have been dating for three years.
Jung Jun Won continues to gain recognition for his breakout role as an OB-GYN resident in Resident Playbook, which recently concluded its first season with strong ratings. Industry insiders suggest the dating rumors may have surfaced due to his rising popularity and public curiosity about his personal life.
As both actors focus on their careers, Jung is reportedly in talks for several new projects after the immense popularity of Resident Playbook, a spin-off of Hospital Playlist. On the other hand, Kang Seung Hyun, the 37-year-old model and actor, has appeared in several dramas and movies such as The Cursed, My Holo Love, Homme Fatale, Believer 2, and more.
