The military service of BTS members is a hot topic that everyone is buzzing about.
V, who made a special appearance in IU’s music video for the song Love Wins All, has been getting a lot of praise for his amazing acting skills.
He recently completed his recruit training along with RM as elite trainees. V got assigned to the Ssangyong Unit of the 2nd Corps in Chuncheon. Before enlisting, he applied to the Special Mission Team (SDT) of the Capital Defense Command.
On February 8, V will be deployed to the Ssangyong Unit of the 2nd Corps in Chuncheon. During his service, he will be serving as a special military police officer in the Military Police Corps, which is a unit directly under the control of the 2nd Corps Headquarters.
At the completion ceremony for recruit training held at the Nonsan Army Training Center, RM and V were chosen as elite trainees and had the honor of standing on the graduation podium. Only around 5 out of 200 elite trainees are selected for this recognition and rewarded with leave.
After the completion of basic military training, he will be continuing his military career by joining the Victory Unit of the 15th Infantry Division. This particular division is located in Hwacheon, Gangwon-do.
On January 17, Jimin and Jungkook had their graduation ceremony after enlisting together. Jimin received a very special honor, the division commander’s commendation, which is given to the top trainee.
Both Jimin and Jungkook have been assigned to the Army’s 5th Infantry Division in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province, serving alongside Jin, who is an assistant instructor there.
With all the recent news about idols avoiding military service, BTS’ outstanding commitment to their military duty becomes even more meaningful. Not only that, but their popularity and record-breaking achievements on the US Billboard charts have made them role models for many aspiring singers, especially among the younger generation.
