Sohee from the group RIIZE and Myung Jaehyun from BOYNEXTDOOR have been officially announced as the new MCs of M Countdown.
On January 4, Korean media outlets reported that RIIZE’s Sohee and BOYNEXTDOOR’s Jaehyun have been chosen as the new MCs for Mnet’s music program M Countdown. They will be joining the existing MC Sung Hanbin of ZEROBASEONE.
Back in November of last year, (G)I-DLE’s Miyeon, who had been the MC on M Countdown for an impressive 2 years and 9 months, decided to leave the show. As a result, the position of co-host alongside Seong Hanbin from ZEROBASEONE became open.
M Countdown has been on a break since its last broadcast on November 16th due to the CJ ENM awards ceremony, MAMA Awards.
The good news is that M Countdown is set to resume broadcasting next week. And not only that, they’ve also confirmed new MCs and are getting ready for the first recording of the new year.
Sohee from RIIZE and Myung Jaehyun from BOYNEXTDOOR, who were chosen as the new MCs for ‘M Countdown’, actually had a chance to be special MCs on a broadcast back in September of last year. During that time, they got to showcase their chemistry with Sung Hanbin, the existing MC.
The anticipation is sky-high for the triple MC combination on M Countdown. Sohee and Myung Jaehyun have already proven their popularity by becoming regular MCs after being special MCs, and of course, Sung Hanbin, who has been holding it down with his stable skills.
