BLACKPINK Rosé and Bruno Mars’ surprise collaboration is a smashing hit.
The duo announced their unexpected collaboration on October 17 and released the song “APT.” the next day.
Despite zero hype and promotions, the song is receiving listeners’ love for its catchy melody. It is currently occupying the top spots on major international and Korean music charts.
Recently, the Billboard Hot 100 predictions for the chart dated November 2 (covering October 18-24) have been released. According to the chart, Rosé and Bruno Mars’ “APT.” is expected to debut at No. 12.
If “APT.” debuts in the Top 15, it would mark Rosé’s highest-charting entry on Billboard HOT 100 since her solo track “On The Ground,” which reached No. 70 in March 2021.
Further, if the song debuts at No. 12 as predicted, it will be the highest-charting song by a female K-pop artist, surpassing BLACKPINK’s “Ice Cream” (#13), FIFTY FIFTY’s “Cupid” (#17), and BLACKPINK’s “Pink Venom” (#22).
Considering the popularity of the song, it is expected that “APT.” will rank on the prestigious HOT 100 chart for weeks.
In less than 3 days since its release, “APT.” has amassed 65 million views on YouTube and currently ranking 2nd on Global Spotify.
Moreover, Rosé has hit a major milestone by breaking BLACKPINK’s record of having the biggest streaming day with over 10 million streams.
In other news, Rosé will make a solo comeback on December 6 with her first studio album “rosie.”
