BLACKPINK’s Rosé has signed a solo deal with Atlantic Records for musical endeavors!
Like her bandmates Jennie and Lisa, the 27-year-old singer is partnering with an international label for music releases.
On September 27, her management agency THE BLACK LABEL announced that Rosé has inked a deal with Atlantic Records, a renowned label under Warner Music Group. With this, she officially enters the global music market.
With Atlantic Records’ impressive roster of collaborations (Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran), all eyes are on the creative possibilities and boundary-pushing music she will produce with this new partnership.
More recently, Rosé has been hinting at the release of her song Vampirehollie, which she first teased on her birthday this year.
She released her solo debut single “R” in 2021 with the title track On The Ground. The title track debuted at No.1 on the Billboard Global 200 chart and No. 70 on the Billboard HOT 100, the highest charting by a K-pop female artist on HOT 100 at the time.
Instead of setting up her own agency like fellow BLACKPINK members, Rosé signed with THE BLACK LABEL, founded by Teddy. After signing with Teddy’s agency in June, she hinted at the release of new music soon.
At the fanmeeting event held in August, the On The Ground singer revealed that she will be coming with an album this time. She recently sang an OST for Pachinko Season 2, a cover of Coldplay’s classic Viva La Vida.
Following her signing with Atlantic Records, Rosé is set to make exciting new announcements about her upcoming release soon.
