Rowoon, known for his roles in dramas like Extraordinary You and Destined with You, is set to begin his mandatory military service in October. His agency confirmed the new military enlistment date on August 25, following a previous delay due to a re-examination of his physical assessment.
The former SF9 member was scheduled to enlist on July 21, but received a Grade 7 rating during his military enlistment physical just days before enlistment. This rating signifies that he was temporarily deemed unfit for service and required a second evaluation.
The new statement by FNC reads
Rowoon, who was initially set to enlist on July 21, received a re-examination (grade 7) result from his conscription physical examination. After undergoing a re-examination in early August, he’s now scheduled to enlist on October 27 as an active-duty soldier.
The agency also emphasized that to minimize crowding at the enlistment site, no official events will be held on the day of his enlistment. They kindly requested fans to refrain from visiting the location, as it is a private event attended by numerous military personnel.
As previously announced, to minimize congestion at the enlistment site, there won’t be any official events held on the day of his enlistment. Due to the nature of the event, which involves many military personnel, the site will be closed to the public, and we kindly ask fans to refrain from visiting.
Rowoon began his career as a member of SF9 in 2016 and stepped away from the group in September 2023 to focus on acting, staying signed with FNC Entertainment. Since then, he has starred in several successful dramas, including Destined with You and The Matchmakers.
Ahead of his military enlistment, he will appear in the Disney+ series The Murky Stream, set to release on September 26. Fans can look forward to his performance in this upcoming project before he begins his military service.
Meanwhile, Rowoon will return to the spotlight on April 26, 2027, after completing military service.
