It appears that Ryu Jun Yeol is putting the dating controversy behind him and lining up one promising project after another.
On June 20, Netflix Korea released a photo of Ryu Jun Yeol with Shin Hye Been, confirming them as leads for the upcoming mystery thriller, Revelations.
Following the success of Hellbound, Netflix teamed up with the director Yeon Sang Ho and writer Choi Gyu Seok once more for Revelations.
In the Netflix thriller Revelations, a driven pastor and a detective haunted by her past join forces to solve a baffling missing-person case. The pastor is convinced he’s on a mission from God to bring the culprit to justice, while the detective is desperate to uncover the truth behind her sister’s death.
Ryu Jun Yeol takes on the role of Min-chan, a pastor in a small town focused on church planting. When a man named Yang-rae appears at his church, Min-chan believes he’s the one who kidnapped his son, leading him on a relentless pursuit of justice. Balancing faith and harsh reality, Min-chan becomes consumed by his quest for revenge.
Shin Hyun Been plays detective Yeon-hee, who’s on the hunt for two suspects – Yang-rae and the sketchy pastor Min-chan. However, she’s also dealing with some personal demons. Her sister was a victim of a horrific crime, and Yeon-hee kept seeing her ghost. Despite all this, she’s determined to crack the case.
Lastly, WOW POINT, a global content production company with a footprint in Korea, the US, and Japan, is behind the production of this film.
