Seo In Guk has finally given fans something to look forward to. Since the filming ended earlier this year, fans have been speculating about the release timeline of his romance drama, Boyfriend on Demand, with Jisoo.

The long-awaited Netflix original series “Boyfriend on Demand” is officially arriving in February 2026. The announcement came straight from Seo himself during a recent radio appearance. There, he confirmed that filming is completely finished and the series is now going through its final post-production stage.

According to him, the team is currently working on computer graphics and other visual effects to polish the high-tech romantic drama before its global debut.

“Boyfriend on Demand,” which also stars BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, has been drawing buzz ever since it was first announced. Interestingly, the project was initially developed for a local Korean network but later moved to Netflix. This is expected to give it a much larger international audience. The futuristic yet realistic show is being described as a fresh mix of romance, sci-fi, and emotional realism.

The story centers on Seo Mi Rae (played by Jisoo), a burnt-out webtoon producer who has put her career above everything else, including her love life. Her world takes an unexpected turn when she discovers a mysterious “Monthly Boyfriend” device — a virtual reality dating simulator that lets her experience romance with AI-generated partners. As she begins using it, Mi Rae starts to question what real love truly means.

Seo In Guk plays Park Kyeong Nam, Mi Rae’s sharp, cold, and ambitious colleague. He is a fellow webtoon producer who often clashes with her but also shares an unspoken connection. Their on-screen chemistry is expected to be one of the show’s biggest highlights.

The 10-episode series is directed by Kim Jung Sik, known for his work on hit dramas like Work Later, Drink Now and Strong Girl Nam-soon.

The supporting cast adds even more strength to the lineup. Ryu Abel, Park Ji Ho, and Kang Min Woo will play key roles in Mi Rae’s real and virtual worlds. Lee Soo Hyuk, Lee Jae Wook, and Seo Kang Joon confirmed to make a special guest appearance as Jisoo’s virtual boyfriends within the simulator. On the other hand, Kim Sung Cheol will play Mi Rae’s ex-boyfriend.

Filming began in October 2024 and wrapped up in the Philippines in early 2025. The overseas locations are said to play an important part in creating the show’s dreamy, tech-driven atmosphere.

“Boyfriend on Demand” is Jisoo’s first Netflix original project and third overall after Snowdrop and Newtopia. Seo In Guk recently appeared in Twelve and Death’s Game, and is set to star in Let’s Go to Work Tomorrow! opposite Park Ji Hyun.

Since Seo revealed the February 2026 premiere window, fans have been flooding social media with excitement. Some are curious about how Jisoo will balance her solo music activities with the drama release. The BLACKPINK member has a packed few months ahead with the group tour and comeback as well as the solo album.
