SEVENTEEN’s sub-unit BSS (BooSeokSoon) has made their long-awaited comeback after two years. Like their last single “Second Wind” (2023), the response is quite overwhelming.
Comprising SEVENTEEN members Hoshi, DK, and Seungkwan, BSS released their second single album “TELEPARTY” on January 8.
According to the Hanteo Chart, their second single “TELEPARTY” achieved an impressive debut. It topped the daily album chart with a staggering 425,371 copies sold on its release day. Notably, their 2023 single album “Second Wind” sold 478,679 copies on first day.
It contains the lead single “CBZ (Prime Time)” and b-side songs “Love Song” and “Happy Alone”. SEVENTEEN member Woozi and producer and songwriter Bumzu worked on the composition and lyrics of the songs.
The title track “CBZ (Prime Time)” swiftly rose to the top of Bugs’ real-time chart within just an hour of its release. Moreover, it secured a spot in the upper ranks of Melon’s ‘Top 100’ and Genie’s real-time chart. Furthermore, the album’s tracks “Happy Alone” and “Love Song” ranked within the Top 100 on major music charts including Melon, Genie, and Bugs.
“CBZ (Prime Time)” topped the iTunes “Top Song” chart in 8 countries and regions, and cracked the top 10 in 20. In Japan, it claimed the number one spot on the AWA real-time rising chart and Line Music’s real-time “Song Top 100”.
Meanwhile, the music video swiftly grabbed attention due to an impressive lineup of cameos. It secured the second spot in Korea and fifth in Japan on YouTube’s “Top Rising Music Videos”.
Hoshi, Seungkwan, and DK are set to kick off their music show promotions with an appearance on Mnet’s “M Countdown” on January 9. Additionally, they have partnered with “Insaeng Netcut” for a special collaboration event. As part of this event, fans will have the opportunity to take photos with BSS-themed frames at participating stores worldwide from now until March 31.
