A couple of weeks earlier, it was announced that the group helped build two learning centers in East Timor.

Now, they have donated once again to give back to the community.

On May 28, the Korean National Commission for UNESCO announced that SEVENTEEN donated on May 26, their 9th debut anniversary, to support global education.

The donation will support educational initiatives, including the #GoingTogether campaign and the UNESCO International Forum on the Future of Education.

Regarding donating to the cause, the group shared, “It is rewarding and thankful to be able to participate in such a meaningful event on our debut anniversary, which is like our birthday.”

Since their debut in 2015, SEVENTEEN has been committed to giving back through various donations. Every year on their debut anniversary, they have made it a point to support children and teenagers in need.

In 2022, they partnered with UNESCO to launch the “Going Together” campaign, which has enabled them to make a meaningful impact in education globally.

Through this initiative, they have contributed to rebuilding education in Malawi, Africa, and building a learning center in East Timor.

In November last year, SEVENTEEN made history as the first K-pop group to address the UNESCO Youth Forum in France, joining a distinguished roster of global speakers.
