Hong Kong has officially transformed into a “SEVENTEEN Theme City” to welcome fans from across the world for a celebration of the group’s first solo concert in the city in seven years. The large-scale event, titled “CARATIA (克拉境/카라경)”, kicked off on September 16 and will continue until September 30.

The event coincides with SEVENTEEN’s sold-out concerts at Kai Tak Stadium on September 27 and 28, as part of the world tour, New_.

SEVENTEEN Hong Kong Concert 2025 Brings CARATIA Festival

According to PLEDIS Entertainment, the project was created in collaboration with Hong Kong’s public institutions and private companies. They turned the city into a festival site that stretches from tourist landmarks to local streets.

The most anticipated highlight is a drone show over Wan Chai Beach Park, scheduled to take place four times between September 25 and 27.

SEVENTEEN will become the first K-pop act to host such a performance in Hong Kong, offering fans and tourists a spectacular night view.

Iconic Landmarks Embrace SEVENTEEN

Hong Kong’s most famous attractions have also joined in the celebration. The Avenue of Stars now displays “MINITEEN” mascot sculptures designed by each member, reflecting their personalities and encouraging photo opportunities for visitors. The Ngong Ping 360 cable car, the Aqua Luna cruise ship in Victoria Harbour, and the city’s trams have been decorated with SEVENTEEN-themed designs.

Hotels across the city are also part of the project. Fourteen major hotels, including The Peninsula Hong Kong, are offering SEVENTEEN-inspired rooms. In a historic first, The Peninsula has partnered with a K-pop artist and illuminated its building exterior in the group’s official colors.

Food, Shopping, and Exclusive Experiences

The celebrations extend to culinary experiences as well. Fans can purchase SEVENTEEN-themed chocolates online, enjoy afternoon tea sets and live band performances on the Star Ferry, or shop at a special pop-up store in the Airside shopping mall near the concert venue. The pop-up will feature exclusive collaborations such as “Bongbongi,” inspired by the group’s official light stick, and a premium doll brand.

Large-scale advertisements are also displayed at Hong Kong International Airport, Kai Tak Stadium, and Sogo Department Store in Causeway Bay to ensure the concert’s festive atmosphere is felt citywide. A stamp rally event will also allow fans to collect stamps at various spots in exchange for special souvenirs.

SEVENTEEN’s Global Expansion of Fan Experiences

This initiative follows SEVENTEEN’s global fan project “SEVENTEEN THE CITY”, which has already been held in Japan, Thailand, Korea, and Los Angeles. The events highlight HYBE and Pledis Entertainment’s commitment to expanding fan experiences worldwide, combining concerts with large-scale urban projects.

Pledis Entertainment shared that they wanted to create a city-wide festival that connects fans more closely with the members.

Next, SEVENTEEN will transform the LA city from October 11-19, and hold concerts there on October 16-17.
