The race is on for the most coveted title in Group of the Year at the 2024 MTV VMAs.
On August 30 (local time), MTV announced nominees for the ‘Group of the Year’ Category, featuring some of the biggest names.
The following groups will be competing for the prestigious awards this year:
- NCT DREAM
- NewJeans
- SEVENTEEN
- TXT
- NSYNC
- Imagine Dragons
- Coldplay
- twenty one pilots
Earlier this month, nominees for MTV Video Music Awards 2024 were announced and many K-pop stars made the list.
The 2024 VMAs K-pop nominees include LE SSERAFIM nominated for MTV Push Performance of the Year for their song EASY.
Jungkook and Latto are nominated for Best Collaboration for their song “Seven”, which is also nominated for Best K-pop along with Lisa’s “Rockstar”, NCT Dream’s “Smoothie”, NewJeans’ “Super Shy”, Stray Kids’ “LALALALA”, and Tomorrow X Together’s “Deja Vu”.
Lisa’s “Rockstar” also earned nominations for Best Editing, Best Choreography, and Best Art Direction.
The voting period for Group of the Year at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards begins on September 3 at 11 a.m. ET and ends on September 6 at 11 a.m. ET.
The awards ceremony will be held on September 10 at 8 p.m. ET in New York and broadcast live on MTV.
