After the Korean Red Cross introduced the SEVENTEEN photocard as a gift for blood donation, there was a remarkable 69% increase in the number of new blood donors.

Since January 12, 13 centers affiliated with the Korean Red Cross have been giving out SEVENTEEN photo cards to blood donors.

The goal of providing SEVENTEEN photo cards, along with the existing cultural gift certificate and hamburger set exchange voucher, is to motivate young people to participate in blood donation. A photo card is basically a card-shaped photo featuring the face of the singer.

The Korean Red Cross’s plan to attract new blood donors was a success. Reports show that during the event period, the number of new blood donors increased by a staggering 68.8% compared to before.

Compared to the same period last year, the number of blood donors rose by an impressive 80.6%. Among the new blood donors, a whopping 81.7% were people in their 10s to 20s.

Many fans who participated in the blood donations are urging CARATs to participate and show their love for SEVENTEEN.

In a media interview, a representative from the Korean Red Cross mentioned, “We initially prepared 1,000 photo cards, but the response was incredible, so we had to order more.” Also, they emphasized that the idol photo cards have proven to be highly effective in surging blood donations.
