There’s been quite a stir around SEVENTEEN’s Best Album, 17 IS RIGHT HERE. Initially, a large quantity of album copies was discovered abandoned on the streets of Japan. Subsequently, criticism arose due to the high cost of the deluxe edition.

On May 7, 17 IS RIGHT HERE Deluxe version was made available to purchase with a whopping price tag of 170,800.

The album supposedly contains a photo book, archiving book, lyric sheet, poster, sticker pack, key ring, photo card, and more, but fans were outraged by the steep price. The standard edition of this album is set at 19,100 won.

After facing backlash, PLEDIS Entertainment slashed the price of the revised deluxe version by over half to 69,400 won.

Furthermore, the agency swiftly addressed the expensive price of the album, deeming it an ‘operational error.’ The agency shared, “Due an operational error, the price was incorrectly communicated to the retailers,” and added, “resulting in the album’s pre-change price being announced on the sales pages.”

On another note, SEVENTEEN’s ’17 IS RIGHT HERE’ is making waves with the first-week album sales going over 2.96 million copies. The title track ‘MAESTRO’ made it to the US Billboard’s ‘Global 200’ and ‘Global (excluding the US)’ charts solely through music streaming and downloads in just about 4 days after its release.
