The 28-year-old idol has been confirmed to star in the upcoming Chinese historical drama, “The Whimsical Return.”

On November 18, PLEDIS Entertainment officially announced that Jun will make an appearance in the Chinese drama “The Whimsical Return” as Wen Liangchen.

Filming for the highly anticipated series began on November 15.

He paused group activities in August to fulfill his acting commitments in China. Since then, he has been announced as a regular member of the Chinese variety show “Heard It’s Delicious” and a cast member of this new drama.

Jun is sitting out the group’s ongoing “RIGHT HERE” tour and did not participate in comeback promotions for their album “Spill The Feels“, released in October, due to his scheduling conflict.

Based on ‘Tang Zhen’, this fantasy comedy period drama explores justice and love. Following S1’s success in 2018, Jun’s addition to the cast brings fresh excitement. He previously showed his acting chops in the web drama “Exclusive Fairytale,” which premiered last year.

Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN is gearing up for the release of their 4th Japanese single on November 27. In addition, they will be continuing their world tour, with upcoming stops at Vantelin Dome Nagoya on November 29 and 30.
