Taemin, a talented member of SHINee, has been officially announced as the new MC of the popular show Road to Kingdom 2.
Previously, it was reported that the Guilty singer is set to host the reality survival show. Responding to the rumors, Mnet and Big Planet Made Entertainment revealed that they’re still in talks.
This is Taemin’s first-ever solo hosting gig since his debut as a SHINee member in 2008.
Mnet’s Road to Kingdom 2 is getting a fresh start in 2024 with a second season. Unlike its previous format, which served as a precursor to the competition series ‘Kingdom’, the revamped show will now stand alone as a ‘K-Pop Boy Group Rising Project’.
The excitement for the new season of ‘Road to Kingdom’ is building with the announcement of the seven participating teams: THE NEW SIX, The CrewOne (ATBO, JUST B), 8TURN, ONEUS, YOUNITE, CRAVITY, and TEMPEST.
Adding to the buzz is the news that Taemin will be hosting the show, marking his first solo MC role since his debut.
On another note, Taemin recently held a solo fanmeeting Never-Never in Seoul and announced a comeback in August followed by a world tour.
