SHINee’s Taemin Shares His Thoughts on Leaving SM Entertainment 

Previously, it was reported that Taemin is parting ways with SM Entertainment once his contract ends in March.

Later, SM Entertainment released a statement regarding SHINee’s future with the agency and the members’ individual contracts.

On March 6, Taemin shared his thoughts on leaving SM on fan communication platform Bubble by saying, “I wanted to inform you discreetly because I didn’t want to cause unnecessary worry, but this happened.”

The Guilty singer revealed that he’ll be making a fresh start soon and further added, “I’m cautious about bringing this up because of the timing. But I didn’t think it would be polite to stay silent and say nothing to the people who care about me.”

He further shared that he will be Taemin Lee no matter which agency he joins. Lastly, he said, “I believe that better things will happen, and I will make that happen. Please take good care of both SHINee and Taemin in the future.” 

Lastly, SM Entertainment confirmed that Taemin’s exclusive contract has come to an end on March 5. SHINee will still be active under SM Entertainment. As for their individual activities, each member will have the freedom to decide what they want to do.
