The countdown to her debut has officially begun as SM Entertainment opened social media accounts for the virtual artist on August 20.
On August 21 at midnight, the label shared the first teaser with the caption “nævis is coming to the REAL WORLD in September.”
nævis is an AI character in aespa’s storyline, serving as a guide for the group’s avatars.
In the aespa universe, nævis is a powerful character who can access the P.O.S, a portal that bridges the real world and KWANGYA, allowing aespa members to enter the virtual realm of FLAT, a dimensional space between the two.
She was scheduled to make her musical debut in 2023, however, her debut was pushed to the 3rd quarter of 2024.
In the 3Q and 4Q SM Entertainment comeback lineup unveiled earlier this month, it was revealed that nævis will make a comeback in 3Q of this year.
Fans are finally excited to get an update on nævis’ debut. Virtual groups like PLAVE continue to solidify their space and break records in the K-pop scene. It is expected that nævis will achieve a similar success.
