Actress Song Hye Kyo is taking on a new challenge in the occult genre. She has been confirmed to star in the movie Dark Nuns (literal translation).
On February 16, the production team of the movie announced the cast saying, “We have confirmed the casting of Song Hye Kyo, Jeon Yeo Been, Lee Jin wook, Huh Joon Ho, and Moon Woojin and will begin filming in earnest.”
Dark Nuns is a female version of the occult film ‘Black Priests’ from 2015. It’s all about a group of people who are determined to save a boy who’s possessed by a really powerful evil spirit.
Song Hye Kyo is portraying the character of Sister Junia in the movie. She’s a strong-willed and determined person who takes action to save the boy. She doesn’t give up on him, even when he’s going through a lot of pain.
Jeon Yeo Been takes on the role of Sister Michaela in the movie. She’s there to support Sister Junia, played by Song Hye Kyo. It’s their first time working together, and fans are excited to see their on-screen chemistry. Jeon Yeo Been is expected to show her maturity and talent through her strong yet delicate acting.
Lee Jin Wook is in the movie as Father Paul, a psychiatrist who believes that the boy can be treated with medicine. Moon Woojin takes on the role of Hee-jun, the boy who’s possessed by the powerful evil spirit.
Huh Joon Ho portrays the character of Father Andrea in the movie. He’s the one who performs a ritual to save the boy.
Lastly, Dark Nuns will be directed by Kwon Hyuk-jae and produced by ‘Film House’. Filming is scheduled to start on February 22.
