The late actor’s film, “Death Business,” is slated for a January 2025 release.

“Death Business,” directed by Hyun Hae Ri, tackles the tumultuous aftermath of the “Luna Coin” collapse.

The film follows young entrepreneurs who abuse government support funds, intentionally go bankrupt, and eventually make a fateful choice after investing in virtual currency.

The movie stars Song Jae Rim in the lead role as Yang Do Hyun, who abuses entrepreneurship support funds. The cast includes Ahn Woo Yeon, Min Sung Wook, So Hee Jung, and Cha Jung Won.

Director Hyun Hae Ri’s “Death Business” was originally set for a 2024 release but was delayed. The new release date was only announced after the lead actor’s unexpected passing.

He has two other projects lined up for release including the film “I’ll Become Rich”, an action-comedy with Yoon So Hee and Choi Min Soo, and “Salmon”, a drama with Gong Hyung Jin and Lee Shi Won.

Song Jae-rim, 39, was found dead at his Seoul home on Tuesday afternoon, Seoul Seongdong Police Station confirmed. Authorities have ruled out foul play and a 2-page letter was found at the scene.

Fellow actors and industry professionals are remembering the 39-year-old actor with heartfelt tributes.

The funeral for Song Jae Rim will be held at Yeouido St. Mary’s Funeral Hall in Seoul today.
