Song Joong Ki and Chun Woo Hee Confirmed to Lead New Drama ‘My Youth’, Broadcast Plans Revealed

Song Joong Ki and Chun Woo Hee have been confirmed to star in the upcoming drama My Youth (tentative title).

My Youth is a new romantic drama that tells the story of two people who reunite with their first loves 10 years later. Seon Woo Hae (Song Joong Ki) is a man who finds his way later in life, while Sung Je Yeon (Chun Woo Hee) must choose between her first love and her ambitions.

My Youth,  a High-Zium Studio production, is directed by Lee Sang Yeob and written by Park Si Hyun.

Director Lee Sang Yeob, a master of subtle and emotional storytelling, directs My Youth. His previous work includes Yumi’s Cells, Familiar Wife, My Holo Love, and Shopaholic Louis.

Acclaimed writer Park Si Hyun, who garnered praise for her work on the drama Run On, pens the script for My Youth.

Song Joong Ki takes on the role of Seon Woo Hae, a talented novelist and florist who has found solace in a simple life after a tumultuous past as a child actor. Once a shining star, he was exploited and eventually forgotten by the industry. When Sung Je Yeon, who knows his true identity, enters his life, she reignites a spark within him, reminding him of his forgotten dreams. 

Following his success in Reborn Rich and Vincenzo, Song Joong Ki returns to romance dramas with this new project.

Chun Woo Hee plays Seong Je Yeon, a strong and determined woman. She was born into a rich family, but they ended up in financial ruin. Now, she wants to be successful and prove herself. When she meets Seon Woo Hae, her life changes. She starts to remember who she used to be before she became so focused on success.

Chun Woo Hee recently proved her acting skills in The Atypical Family and The 8 Show.

The upcoming drama My Youth, which has finalized its cast, is set to premiere in 2025.
