Song Joong Ki made a guest appearance on tvN’s Queen of Tears as Vincenzo, Kim Ji Won’s divorce lawyer. This nod to his hit drama Vincenzo, where he portrayed a Mafia lawyer, was a delightful connection.
The Descendants of the Sun actor explained why he made a special appearance in Queen of Tears.
In the behind-the-scenes video of tvN’s weekend drama ‘Queen of Tears’ that came out on April 3, Song Joong Ki mentioned, “I came here because I heard there was a role for Vincenzo.”
The 38-year-old actor caught everyone’s eye with an unexpected cameo as Vincenzo, Hong Hae-in’s (Kim Ji-won) divorce attorney in Queen of Tears, which aired on March 31. His stellar performance as Attorney Consigliere in Vincenzo added depth to the show with a special guest appearance.
He shared, “Kim Ji Won is working hard on filming, so I came to give her a little bit of support,” and added, “But I think I’m having more fun filming.”
Joong Ki revealed having a fun shooting experience, “[Queen of Tears] seemed to be a mixture of many different genres, so I also had a lot of fun, and I felt like I was having a lot of fun on set with directors Jang Young-woo and Kim Hee-won.”
Lastly, Song Joong Ki expressed his excitement about working with the leads of the show, saying, “I was so happy to be filming with Soo Hyun after a long time. So I am even more looking forward to Soo Hyun’s return, and although we have worked with Kim Ji Won on many works, it has been a long time since I felt Ji Won’s tremendous force while filming today.”
