Looks like someone’s been playing the wrong game… Actress Park Gyu Young is under fire for leaking major ‘Squid Game’ season 3 spoilers.
On January 8, the 31-year-old actress shared a behind-the-scenes photo from the set of the Netflix series “Squid Game” season 2 on her Instagram.
In the photo, Park is seen wearing her pink guard uniform and taking a break. However, what’s raising eyebrows is the presence of another pink guard in the background, who is allegedly a fellow actor from “Squid Game 2”.
Although the actor’s face is hidden by a black costume, fans are speculating that the person in question is Lee Jin Wook.
Lee Jin Wook stars as Park Kyung Seok, a father desperate to save his young daughter Na Yeon from blood cancer by winning the game’s prize money.
On the other hand, Park Gyu Young plays Kang No Eul, a North Korean defector and former soldier who joins the game as an agent. She’s searching for her daughter, whom she was forced to leave behind in North Korea. Interestingly, Kang No Eul previously worked as a doll mask artist at the same amusement park as Park Kyung Seok.
After the photo was posted, fans started piecing together clues and speculating that Lee Jin Wook might be the pink guard.
In response to the spoiler concerns, Park Gyu Young has since removed the photo from her Instagram account.
Following its release, Season 2 of “Squid Game” topped the global TOP 10 Netflix series category in 93 countries. Additionally, Netflix reported that it ranked #1 worldwide in the non-English series weekly ranking (Dec 23-29). Season 3 with new plot twists and exciting characters will premiere in Summer.
