Jung Ho Yeon has announced her departure from her agency!
She skyrocketed to global fame with her role as Kang Sae Byeok in the Netflix smash hit “Squid Game”.
On January 13, Saram Entertainment announced to Newsen, “It is true that the exclusive contract with actress Jung Ho Yeon has ended.”
The agency stated, “We have come to the end of our management work with actress Jung Ho Yeon, who has been with us since the beginning of her acting career and has grown into a global actress. We sincerely support her future endeavors.”
In January 2020, the 30-year-old actress began her acting career by signing an exclusive contract with Saram Entertainment. Since then, she has achieved international stardom with her breakout role in Netflix’s megahit ‘Squid Game’, followed by a notable appearance in Apple TV+’s ‘Disclaimer’.
On the work front, she is set to star in Kim Jee Won’s next work “The Hole” opposite Hollywood star Theo James. Based on Hye Young Pyun’s novel, Jung Ho Yeon plays the key role of Sandy, the wife of James’ character Owen.
He’s a professor whose life is turned upside down after a tragic car accident in South Korea. As Owen recovers, he finds himself under the care of his Korean mother-in-law, Yuna, who begins to uncover the dark truth behind Owen and Sandy’s marriage.
