Netflix’s Tudum 2025 event delivered huge news for “Stranger Things” fans: the first official trailer for Season 5 and the highly anticipated release schedule for the final episodes. The epic conclusion of the globally beloved series will roll out in three parts later this year, starting in November.
On June 1, Stranger Things cast members Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, and Finn Wolfhard walked the Tudum 2025 red carpet. Much to the fans’ disappointment, Millie Bobby Brown did not attend the show. The new trailer and release date for the fifth season were announced during the Netflix event.
“Stranger Things” Season 5 Trailer Reveal and Plot Hints
The new trailer, though brief, offered a powerful look back at the journey so far, reminding viewers of the escalating battle against the Upside Down. While not packed with brand-new footage, it did provide a quick, chilling glimpse of what’s to come, hinting at the terrifying stakes that lie ahead for the residents of Hawkins.
The fifth season jumps ahead to fall 1987, picking up about a year and a half after the last season ended in spring 1986. Hawkins is still reeling from the massive tears between their world and the Upside Down. With the town now under strict military lockdown, our group of friends has one clear mission: find and stop Vecna. But there’s a big problem: Vecna has disappeared without a trace, and no one knows what he is planning next.
Making matters worse, the government has intensified its search for Eleven, forcing her to go back into hiding just when they need her most. As the military tightens its grip on Hawkins, the gang must figure out how to track down their mysterious enemy while avoiding capture themselves. With the town in ruins and danger around every corner, this might be their toughest battle yet.
