Last year, they ruled MTV VMAs with their unforgettable performance, Stray Kids is now heading to the 2024 American Music Awards (AMAs).
On September 27, JYP Entertainment officially confirmed that Stray Kids will perform at the 50th Anniversary Special of the American Music Awards, taking place on October 6.
They join BTS as the second group to perform at the AMAs. Their special tribute will recognize the significant contributions of boy bands to music history.
As one of America’s four most iconic music award ceremonies, AMAs has inspired and celebrated music’s finest for five decades. It joins the elite ranks of Grammy Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and MTV Video Music Awards.
In 2024 so far, Stray Kids have headlined major music festivals including Gala des Pièces Jaunes, Lollapalooza Chicago, BST Hyde Park in London, and Milan’s I-Days. In addition, they made history as the first K-pop boy group to walk the Met Gala red carpet.
Their album ATE, released in July, shattered many records and they achieved their highest charting entry on the Billboard HOT 100 with the title song, CHK CHK BOOM.
On another note, Stray Kids is set to hold dominATE world tour concerts on September 28 in Singapore. After that, they will hold shows in Melbourne (October 19), Sydney (October 26), Kaohsiung (November 2), Tokyo (November 14, 16-17), Manila (November 23), Macau (November 29-30), and other cities.
