Felix, a member of the popular K-pop group Stray Kids, was recently involved in a car accident that left fans worried. Thankfully, he is now on the mend and the correct medical diagnosis of his injury has been received.
JYP Entertainment has issued an update on Felix’s health, revealing new details about the Stray Kids member’s condition. Initially reported as a fracture, the label has now shared the latest diagnosis.
On February 15, a minor car accident occurred in the parking lot of Incheon Inspire Arena, following a Stray Kids fan meeting “SKZ 5’CLOCK”. Felix was riding in a car headed towards the main lobby when a shuttle bus behind them made contact with the left rear end of the car. The collision caused her weight to shift onto his arm, resulting in an injury.
Following the accident, the 24-year-old K-pop star underwent an X-ray examination at a nearby hospital and was initially diagnosed with a fracture. However, further testing, including an MRI and a consultation with a specialist professor at a more advanced hospital, revealed that the initial fracture diagnosis was incorrect.
Instead, doctors found that the fracture line detected in the X-ray was actually a childhood scar. Moreover, the tests showed that a nerve near the affected area was compressed.
JYP Entertainment stated that Felix will undergo close monitoring and receive treatment, as advised by the medical team. The agency stressed that their top priority is Felix’s health and recovery. They are working closely with medical professionals to provide him with the optimal environment and treatment.
On the work front, Stray Kids recently held a 3-day fanmeeting “SKZ 5’CLOCK” from February 14-16. They will embark on a Latin American tour with shows in Santiago, Chile on March 27-28. After that, they will make stops in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Lima, and Mexico City.
